ECF Invitation Application

1. Invitation：

A. Guests may proceed, upon the invitation, to overseas visa office of P.R.C. for entry visa.

B. Guests are advised to come to Shanghai New International Expo Center for “Visitor” ID cards, upon the invitation.

2. Organizations for Invitation Application：

A. Any Chinese company engaged in foreign economics and trade, with whom you have business relationship.

Visa Transaction

A. Visas for visiting the Fair are to be granted against the invitation by the Chinese Embassy in your country.

B. If there is no Chinese Embassy in your country presently, you can obtain your visa in from the Chinese Embassy in a neighboring country.

C. If you are traveling via Hong Kong , you may obtain your visa from in the office of the commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the P.R.C. in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

D. Overseas Tourist Dept. of China Travel Service in Hong Kong can be entrusted in the visa formalities.

Transaction of Visitor ID Card

   Free service is provided for application of ID. Each purchasing merchant is subject to only one visitor ID upon valid ID and picture.

1. Dnts required for registration：

A. For a visitor ID card, valid passport or such valid travel documents as Home Return Permit, Taiwan Compatriot Certificate, Hong Kong ID card etc. are required with an Invitation and a two-inch photo. Valid Return Visa is needed for Chinese Passport holders.

B. For Chinese staff of foreign representative offices in China , you may apply for an Assistant ID upon the Staff Certificates issued by the Shanghai Foreign Service Co., Ltd.，China International Talents Development Centre，China International Technology & Intelligence Cooperation Co.，and Foreign Enterprise Service Co., Ltd. of the provinces and municipalities, together with an Invitation and a two-inch photo.

C. For As the interpreter accompanying the Fair guests from overseas, you may apply for an interpreter ID with qualification of interpreter and a two-inch photo.

2. Time and Place for Visitor’s ID：

A. Registration Online：January 5th - February 22nd, 2008

i. For foreign guests, you may logon: www.ecfonline.com.cn/PreRegister.aspx, fill in the Registration Form and upload a color photo to apply.

ii. For Chinese staff of foreign representative offices in China , you may logon: www.ecfonline.com.cn/yudengji.aspx to apply.

All the applicants who have successfully registered online will obtain visitor cards from Online Registration Overseas Guest ID Section during the day of the Fair upon a printed copy of the visiting ID Code, an invitation, and valid passport or travel permit. For details, please see “Online Registration Visitor ID for Oversea Buyers”.
